  I arrived to the drive-thru to pick up medication for myself and my child. I gave the worker my son's date of birth. She comes back to the window and asks if I know how much my son's medication is. She didn't ask if he had insurance to add to his account, she didn't just give me the total and allow me to pay. She assumed that I could not afford his prescriptions ($75 and $48). They made an in-house error which resulted in me having to come inside to wait. While inside waiting, I observed the same worker with the other customers in the drive-thru. She never asked any of them if they knew how much their medication cost, she assumed that they all could afford their prescriptions. I voiced my concerns to the Pharmacist on duty and she defended her employee and never apologized for the behavior. I do not appreciate being racially-profiled by a team of workers and not receiving the same treatment as everyone else. Once things were all said and done, I walked away from the pharmacy having spent $218 on medication for the both of us. It's clear that I could afford the medication and next time she needs to watch her verbiage. Instead of asking me do I know how much the medicine cost, she could have simply asked if I had any insurance to add and given me the total. At that time, I could have told her whether or not I could afford the medicine. But to just dry assume that I couldn't is a bad reflection on the pharmacy and the character of the employees.
